Black and White Colour Blocking

Opting for high-contrast tiles creates a striking visual impact. Pairing a black marble tile with a white zellige can truly distinguish the appearance of your shower. One of my preferred techniques is selecting a tile that offers various applications in the same finish to achieve a harmonious look. Combining a large-format tile with a mosaic for the shower pan is an excellent method to make your tile stand out. Dal-Tile is a great supplier that often offers a range of tiles in a single collection. One of my favourite tiles that could help you achieve this look is the Nero Marquina.
Bring the Mood with a Burgundy Tile

Replace the green with burgundy. This tile is one of the latest trends, and im not mad at it, adding a moody touch to a bathroom I just love! Combine it with luxurious marble, and you'll feel like you're in Italy. There's nothing more exciting than incorporating a bold finish in a bathroom to surprise your guests with an unexpected wow factor. If you're searching for a rich tile like this, the Artefino Vintage collection might be perfect for you.
Light up your shower niche

Nothing conveys luxury quite like excellent lighting. Illuminating your shower niche might be the perfect way to achieve that effect. The great news is that adding a strip light to your shower niche is quite affordable. Schluter now provides a range of shower niches that can accommodate an LED strip light; they are simple to install and make a huge impact. Choosing a straightforward, budget-friendly tile and incorporating a lighting element into the niche could be the ideal way to stay within your budget while achieving a high-end look.
The Quartz Niche

Incorporating different finishes is an excellent method to introduce character to your shower. A quartz niche offers an ideal opportunity to integrate a pattern with a simple tile, and the best part is that there are no grout lines to clean. To take this look further, consider capping your shower curb with quartz or adding a trim piece around your opening. Adding these creative touches to your bathroom is a guaranteed way to make it stand out.
Build a Curved Shower

Honestly, this might be my favourite trend so far. When designing spaces, I often incorporate arches or curves into the elements. There's something about them that appears so luxurious to me. Recently, I designed a curved shower, and it turned out beautifully! Although this can be somewhat challenging to construct, a skilled finisher and tile layer can achieve this look without any issues. Keep in mind that this style requires either a mosaic or a linear tile to perfectly accommodate the curve. One of my preferred tiles for this purpose is the long-and-short stick collection by Stone-Tile. This tile features some imperfections and colour variations between pieces, creating a stunning shimmer and glisten
The Exposed Tap

This concept is self-explanatory; opting for an exposed tap can be a creative touch that looks unusual yet cool. Consider choosing unconventional fixtures. Many of my clients find that the unique features they initially worried about become their favourite aspects of their home. The advantage of hiring a designer for your bathroom renovation is the ability to incorporate unique elements that distinguish your home from your neighbours'. This unconventional tap can be found HERE.
Opt for a Ledge, not a Niche

Everyone is familiar with the shower niche, but opting for something unique like a shower ledge can enhance both the style and functionality of your shower renovation. It not only provides a place for all the loose items you need in the shower but also offers a minimalist and clean appearance. An additional benefit is that it can provide a 4-inch clearance, which is necessary when installing a shower valve or hand wand on an exterior wall. To complete this look without the expense of a mitre, consider capping it with a piece of quartz.
